A Letter from our Vice President of Membership Experience

Coming into recruitment right out of high school is something no one can ever be fully prepared for. It’s exciting, overwhelming, scary, and full of moments that will stay with you forever. I remember feeling all those things at once. I was anxious about making the right choice, unsure of where I’d fit in, and yet still hopeful that something amazing was waiting on the other side of it all.Everyone’s recruitment journey is unique, and that's what makes it so beautiful. For me, everything changed the moment I walked through the doors of Tri Delta. I can still remember that feeling, my heart just knew I was in the right place. Every late night, early morning, and nervous moment leading up to that point suddenly felt worth it. I had found my home.The friendships I’ve made here are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. These women have become my biggest supporters, my confidants, my sisters. There’s a deep, genuine love and care that runs through this chapter, everyone truly shows up for each other. Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on, a spontaneous coffee run, or celebrating your wins big and small, there's always someone by your side. I never imagined I’d find friendships so real, so selfless, and so fulfilling, but here I am, surrounded by women who inspire me every single day.Another part of Tri Delta that holds a special place in my heart is our dedication to philanthropy. Supporting St. Jude, our National Philanthropy, and Art With a Heart, our Local Philanthropy has given me purpose beyond myself. I love how hands-on and impactful our events are, and how our chapter pours so much love into causes that truly matter. It’s a constant reminder that we’re part of something bigger and how we have the power to make a difference in the lives of others. That’s something I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.Being in Tri Delta has shaped me in ways I never expected. It’s pushed me to do things like this position, it's given me a voice and it's given me a home away from home. I love this sisterhood with my whole heart, and I will always be grateful for the countless ways it has changed my life. To say I’m thankful doesn’t even scratch the surface.
